We are taking the opportunity during Small Charities Week to remind our local groups and charities about the Tees Valley Volunteering Charter that has been developed by the Tees Valley Infrastructure Partnership which includes Catalyst Stockton.
Tens of thousands of people take on voluntary roles across the Tees Valley every year, making a huge contribution to the welfare of their communities, whilst having an enjoyable and rewarding time.
The Tees Valley Volunteering Charter can be adopted by organisations which deploy volunteers and will help demonstrate their commitment to ensuring that volunteers are safe, valued, and that they undertake meaningful tasks which make a real difference to their communities.
If you haven’t already, we are hoping that you will join us and many other voluntary and community sector organisations across the Tees Valley by signing up to work towards the standards of good practice detailed in the Charter via this link https://form.jotform.com/221663242268354
Once you have signed up to the Charter you will receive more information including examples of how the standards can be met as well as a certificate that can be displayed to show your commitment to volunteers and the Charter standards.
Should you wish to discuss the Charter or require any further information before committing to it please contact Lucy Owens lucy.owens@catalyststockton.org
