Volunteer Co-ordinator
Location: Stockton on Tees (combination of office working and home working as required)
Salary: £23,735 per annum
Hours per week: 37.5 per week to end of March 2023 (with possibility of extension)
Role details:
The Volunteer Co-ordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a range of services delivered by volunteers through Catalyst’s Community Hub. The Volunteer Coordinator will recruit, train and manage volunteers delivering a wide range of services. These include taking calls from members of the public who are unable to shop for themselves or collect prescriptions, collecting shopping or prescriptions from local supermarkets and pharmacies and delivering them to people’s homes, directing individuals to the listening service operated by external partners, such as MIND or Age UK and managing volunteer van drivers who collect surplus food from supermarkets and other venues and distribute it to food banks, community pantries, and other community venues and organisations.
This role will initially be for one year, with the possibility of extension. It will be largely office-based, with travel around Stockton-on-Tees as needed, although at present most Catalyst staff are working from home in line with Government advice.
