Daisy Chain is looking to appoint an experienced and motivational Volunteer Development Manager to drive forward our volunteer offer and support the development of new initiatives across the organisation.

Salary: £23,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The post holder will be responsible for all elements of volunteering. The role involves assessing the organisation’s volunteer needs in consultation with Managers/Team Leaders and meeting those needs through recruitment, placement, retention, recognition and monitoring of volunteers, ensuring effective delivery of services.

The Volunteer Development Manager will manage volunteers and their relationship with those they come into contact with, including employees and service users of the Charity. The Volunteering Development Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of an organisation-wide volunteer journey (includes volunteer attraction, recruitment, training, engagement and management), development and embedding of volunteer policies and practices, volunteer problem solving, developing and delivering a range of volunteer learning interventions and providing high-quality advice and practical hands-on support to our volunteers and their managers.

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant employment checks deemed appropriate.
