We are recruiting for a Part time Volunteer Recruitment Officer (Social Prescribing support).

SALARY: £25,200 (pro rata £12,600 for 18.75 hours per week) CLOSING DATE: 12 noon on Monday 29th January 2024 and interview dates TBC.

The Volunteer Recruitment Officer (Social Prescribing) will be responsible for the development of a volunteer-led service to support Social Prescribers and the clients they are working with.

The post-holder will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing volunteers to act as support ‘buddies’ to individuals referred to VCSE and other community-based activities and support signposted by social prescribers. Volunteers will also be sought from existing community groups and activity providers, so this role will involve a significant element of building positive and effective relationships.

A key responsibility of this role is to recruit volunteers, to meet specific targets each month, ensuring enough volunteers are available to effectively support social prescribers and their clients, to access services and activities in the community.

The Volunteer Recruitment Officer (Social Prescribing) will play a key role in the planning and delivery of volunteer recruitment activities and events, including attendance at community events, talks and schools, colleges and universities and attending public venues with the Stockton Volunteers information stall. This role also includes actioning and monitoring activity, including volunteer applications, through the Stockton Volunteers website and Volunteero App.
