Finding innovative ways of working together

The Stockton Borough Asylum Seeker & Refugee Forum gives local organisations who support or provide services to refugees and asylum seekers a chance to keep up to date with news from the VCSE sector. This Forum provides an opportunity to share good practice, explore new ways of working and share and receive valuable information.

This is a bi-monthly Forum which allows key agencies to network and develop a pathway of our local approach to asylum seekers and refugees. The central topics of discussion are areas such as housing, hate crime and health.

There are regular attendees representing Stockton-On-Tees Borough Council, North East Migration Partnership, Mears Housing & Migrant Help to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach is established between key partners and the VCSE sector.

Over 35 organisations were represented at 5 Forums that were held in 2019.

With the help of these organisations, Catalyst compiled a detailed directory which includes contact information of numerous organisations in Stockton-on-Tees who specialise in services for Asylum Seekers & Refugees, provide drop-ins, language classes & more. VIEW DIRECTORY
