Catalyst has bridged the gap between the public and the VCSE sector by developing the Stockton Volunteers programme in partnership with Stockton Borough Council.
Stockton Volunteers was designed and planned in consultation with many of the volunteer involved organisations in the Borough, ensuring that Stockton Volunteers meets the needs of local organisations and local people. The project was launched during Volunteer Week in 2016.
Stockton Volunteers was designed and planned in consultation with many of the volunteer involved organisations in the Borough, using the initial Better Together Stockton Volunteering Strategy 2015, and being established as a brand in 2016.
The project held its first event during Volunteer Week in June 2016, which was also the launch date for the Stockton Volunteers website, which is a single place for Stockton organisations to advertise volunteering opportunities, and an access point for local people looking to volunteer.
Catalyst facilitate regular Stockton Volunteering Partnership Meetings where we discuss and learn about topics relevant to local volunteer involved organisations, and where organisations can learn more about volunteering in the Borough.

In 2017 we held our first Volunteering Market event in the event Marquee on Stockton-on-Tees High Street, thanks to Stockton Borough Council. The event was a resounding success, with 56 different organisations showing the people of Stockton the wide and varied range of volunteering available to them in the Borough.
