Daisy Chain – along with a host of amazing local companies – are giving one lucky couple the opportunity to win their dream wedding at a 4* venue by raising funds for families affected by autism.
Following the new lockdown measures announced in the UK on 31 October, Daisy Chain has amended its Win a Wedding competition to ensure Teesside couples still have the best chance at entering the draw.
To be in with a chance of winning, entrants must raise a minimum of £500 for the charity, which will bag them a ticket in the raffle draw. Each £500 raised is worth one ticket, meaning if they raise £1,500, they will receive three entries in the draw.
The deadline for the competition, originally 12 February, has been extended to 30 April.
The whole wedding package, with a value of thousands of pounds, has been provided by local businesses and will be hosted at Hardwick Hall Hotel.
According to Hitched.co.uk, 71 per cent of weddings have been rescheduled due to the global pandemic. With couples in the North East also hit by the financial costs of the coronavirus – furlough, redundancy and restrictions on hospitality – many more now find they can’t afford the wedding of their dreams.
The wedding package giveaway will include:
Hardwick Hall Hotel venue, catering and overnight stay with bridal breakfast provided by Ramside Estates
Choice of date (Monday to Friday in 2021 or Saturday/Sunday date 2022)
Wedding dress provided by Bridal Factory Outlet, Northallerton

Neeraj Sharma, CEO of Daisy Chain, said: “Although the new lockdown measures have required us to alter our plans, we still want to offer couples across the North East the chance to win their dream wedding. To ensure people still have the time to fundraise, we have extended the deadline to 30 April.
“By adapting the entry requirements to one ticket per £500 raised, it not only makes the competition more accessible, but also encourages couples to go for gold and raise as much money as possible so they’ve got more chances of winning.
“We are also encouraging couples to enter who have had their weddings ruined by the pandemic but still want to be able to have the dream day that they originally planned but had to forgo due to Covid restrictions.
“We are so thankful for the support we have received from North East businesses to help us offer this prize, despite the struggles they will be facing due to the recently announced lockdown.”
