Yarm Wellness is seeking an individual to take primary lead for the finance activities supporting the operation of the charity.
The Yarm Wellness Finance Manager should be an individual able to work independently, regularly and reliably. They should have a good understanding of accounting principles and Microsoft Excel skills.
An understanding of the following is desireable, but a willingness to learn if they are not knowledgable is sufficient.
- Not-for-profit fund accounting
- Charity Commission requirements, including Annual Accounts
- HMRC Gift Aid rules
The Finance Manager should regularly review the charity’s financial position to ensure there is enough money to fund the charity along with sufficient cash reserves. They should regularly report on the charity’s financial position to the Trustees and highlight when additional funding is required or there are other risks.
