Youth Focus: North East is seeking to employ a Youth Worker. The role of the Youth Worker will be to coordinate, deliver and evaluate activities within their Big Lottery Funded Youth Investment Fund project, with the aim of developing and expanding open youth provision across the Tees Valley area.

Salary: £21,500 per annum
Six month fixed term contract (maternity cover)

Applicants will be required to hold a professional qualification, or be working towards a recognised occupational qualification relevant to the role, and have a clear understanding of evidence-based practice, youth work methodology and young people’s rights.

As an experienced proactive practitioner your communication skills, energy, and professional approach should enable you to quickly establish positive rapport with young people and stakeholders. Confident in the delivery of youth work, you will be committed to improving young people’s lives, and working with them to address their concerns and needs.

Dynamic, innovative, and passionate, you’ll bring knowledge and skill-base to the challenge of working with a wide range of young people and stakeholders.
